Description

Playón de Bayas follows on from Los Quebrantos Beach and is the place where the River Ranón flows into the sea. Also known as Sablón, it marks the border between Castrillón and Soto del Barco.

Featuring dark, golden sand, it’s exposed to the sea.

Surfing is best here in the winter at low tide when there are right- and left-handers.

It doesn’t usually get very crowded in spite of being close to Asturias airport.
